Since many drainfields prohibit access by large equipment, our portable samplers make it easy to reach the right spot for a sample.

Option One:
The JMC Backsaver Handle (pictured) can pull samples down to 46 inches with an 18 inch tube.

Option Two:
The JMC Featherweight Auger grabs a larger sample than the JMC Backsaver Handle and works in a wider variety of soils. The samples obtained, however, are not undisturbed.

Option Three:
If your budget will allow, the JMC Environmentalist's Sub-Soil Probe or the JMC Environmentalist's Sub-Soil Probe Plus will handle just about all situations and save you loads of time.
