You can improve the accuracy of each sample for your soil dissipation study by excluding surface debris from your final sample. For best results, we recommend the following procedure:

1. Sample the first 6 inches of topsoil with our JMC Concentric Sampling Tube leaving its reusable 6 inch casing in the ground.
2. Vacuum the cavity to remove any loose soil.
3. Sample through the casing with either the JMC Environmentalist's Sub-Soil Probe or the JMC Environmentalist's Sub-Soil Probe Plus.
4. Retrieve the casing.
5. Decontaminate your equipment.
6. Move on to the next site.
