All you need is a hole in the ground with a constant diameter which will accept a casing and your monitoring equipment.

Our JMC Professional Augers carve a hole 3.25 inches in diameter in all types of soils. You can purchase complete kits or only the pieces you need.

If you need a smaller hole, consider our JMC Environmentalist's Sub-Soil Probe Plus. It creates a very accurate 1.625 inch diameter hole. It also has the advantage of being a tube type sampler which captures undisturbed samples in a plastic liner.
