Soil Sampling Equipment Recommendation:

You will need a handgrip, an auger, and one or more extensions.

• Our handgrips, extensions, and augers can be purchased with quick-connect or threaded connections.
     (Each option will describe both).
• Components can be purchased separately or as a kit.

Option One:

JMC Professional Clay Auger, Extension(s) and Standard Handgrip ($410-$1315)
Most adaptable configuration. In spite of its name, our clay auger samples the widest range of soil. Works best in slightly moist soils.

Option Two:

JMC Professional General Purpose Auger, Extension(s) and Standard Handgrip ($360-$1275)
Our General Purpose auger makes unloading moist soils a little more difficult, but offers better retrieval of dry samples.

Option Three:

JMC Professional Auger Kit ($1150-$2350)
Kit includes 4 different augers to give you the most comprehensive sampling ability.

Option Four:

JMC Featherweight Auger Kit ($210)
A lighter weight version of our Professional Auger. This kit includes one handgrip, one 34 inch extension, and one JMC Featherweight Auger. A good investment for the occasional sampler.
