Description

When you need to extract uncontaminated samples regardless of hard ground conditions while maintaining your budget, we recommend our JMC T-Handle, dead-blow mallet, Rod Extensions, and Sampling Tube.

JMC T-Handle

The JMC T-Handle offers a convenient grip for holding the sampling system steady while pounding and also lends itself to pulling the sampling tube back out of the ground.

Soft-faced, Dead-blow Mallet

The head of our dead-blow mallet contains 1.75 pounds of loose shot. The shot eliminates hammer bounce on impact. This reduces operator fatigue because no energy gets wasted trying to control what the hammer does after it strikes an object. Also, the mallet’s soft face won’t damage your equipment or send sparks flying in combustible situations.

JMC Rod Extensions

By itself, the JMC T-Handle won’t sample beyond the length of your sampling tube. The T-Handle lacks a stem. Consequently, you will want at least one JMC 26 inch (or two 13 inch) Rod Extension(s) to bring the T-Handle up to a convenient height for pounding. You may want more extensions if you occasionally sample lower than the plow layer.

The JMC Rod Extensions come in two lengths: 13 and 26 inch. The different sizes thread together in any order. The 13 inch size can be very handy if you want a sampler that will fit in a glove box. A T-Handle, a mallet, two 13 inch extensions, and a 12 inch sampling tube makes a very compact sampling system that conquers most situations you will encounter.

If you want more extensions than we include here, click on the links in the related products list below.

We have 4 kinds of tubes for this option.
